Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
This is one of the most beautiful trekking days in the Khumbu region. You will cross the Dudh Koshi River several times on suspension bridges. The final Hillary Bridge the highest on today’s route is a highlight.

The trail climbs steadily through:

• Pine forests
• Sherpa settlements (Tok Tok, Benkar, Monjo)
• Sagarmatha National Park checkpoint

After the checkpoint, the trail becomes steeper, gaining altitude as the first views of Mt. Everest appear (on clear days).

You enter the vibrant trading village of Namche Bazaar, the economic and cultural hub of the Sherpa people.

Hike Duration: 2–3 hours
Today is essential for acclimatization. After breakfast, hike to the famous Everest View Hotel for sweeping views of:

• Mount Everest
• Lhotse
• Ama Dablam
• Thamserku
• Kongde Ri

You’ll also visit:

• Sherpa Culture Museum
• Namche Monastery
• Khumjung Village (optional extension)

Spend the afternoon resting or exploring local cafés and bakeries.

Trek Duration: 5–6 hours

The trail today begins with a gentle contour walk high above the Dudh Koshi river. The scenery is spectacular with Ama Dablam dominating the skyline.

After Sanasa village, you descend through pine forests to Phunki Tenga, where you will cross a bridge before climbing a long but gradual ascent to Tengboche.

Tengboche is home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Everest region. Attend the afternoon prayers if time allows.

Trek Duration: 4–5 hours

Descend through forests to Deboche and cross the Imja Khola on a wooden suspension bridge. Pass mani walls and chortens as you walk toward Pangboche.

From Pangboche, the landscape becomes more alpine. You continue through open plains and yak pastures until reaching Dingboche, the gateway to the Imja Valley.

You’ll notice the air thinning; hydrate well.

Hike Duration: 3–5 hours
This day is crucial to prevent altitude sickness before reaching Base Camp.

The hike to Nagarjun Peak is steep but rewarding, offering views of:

• Makalu (8,463m)
• Ama Dablam
• Lhotse's stunning south wall
• Island Peak (Imja Tse)
• Baruntse

Return to Dingboche for rest, food, and hydration.
Overnight in Dingboche.

Trek Duration: 2–3 hours
A short yet scenic day following the Imja Valley.

You trek past stone-walled fields, yak pastures, and glacier-fed streams. The trail gradually ascends towards Chhukung, a small settlement surrounded by towering peaks.

Check climbing gear and meet your climbing Sherpa for a briefing.
Overnight in Chhukung.

Trek Duration: 3–4 hours

Today’s trail crosses rocky moraine terrain and glacial landscapes. You approach the Base Camp located beneath the southwest ridge of Island Peak.

After lunch, your Sherpa guide conducts technical climbing training:

• How to use crampons
• Ice axe techniques
• Roped glacier travel
• Fixed rope ascending with jumar
• Rappelling/descending safely
• Harness and knot practice

This training ensures safety and boosts confidence for summit day.
Overnight at Base Camp (Tent).

Climbing Duration: 10–12 hours
Start Time: 1:00–2:00 AM

Summit day begins early to ensure good snow conditions and clear weather.

Route Breakdown:

1. Rocky Scrambling Section (1–2 hours)

Steep ascent over rocky terrain in the dark using headlamps.

2. Glacier Entry (Crampons On)

Cross the glacier where you may encounter:

• Crevasses
• Ladder crossings
• Ice steps

3. Fixed Rope Section – Steep Headwall

The final slope is a 50–70° wall requiring:

• Fixed rope ascender (jumar)
• Ice axe support

4. The Summit Ridge

A narrow ridge leads to the summit an unforgettable experience.

After celebrating and photos, descend carefully back to Base Camp.

Descend through the open valley and forests. Chance to revisit Tengboche Monastery.
Overnight in Tengboche.

Trek Duration: 4–5 hours
Cross the rivers and walk through dense forests to reach Namche.
Celebrate with bakery treats and shopping.
Overnight in Namche.

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
Final trekking day through Phakding and villages of the lower Khumbu.
Celebrate with your Sherpa team in Lukla.
Overnight in Lukla.
